The Brussels Triathlon will take place in and around Brussels with starting point Hazewinkel on the 23rd of September 2018.
The following distances are supported by the Brussels Triathlon:

You can choose to ‘Go Solo’ or ‘Go Relay’. Either you are a hero and you participate on your own. Or you are a hero who finds some other heroes to divide and conquer!
The Brussels Triathlon will take place in and around Brussels, the Belgian and European capital.
In your race pack you will find:
- 2 race numbers and 8 safety pins
- 1 timing chip
- 1 athlete wristband
- 1 Brussels Triathlon swim cap
- 1 bike sticker to put on the seat tube
- 1 bike sticker to put on the frame
- 3 small stickers for the helmet
- 3 large stickers for the transition bags.

The race number must be worn in the back during the bike race and in front of the body during the running split.
Race number, wristband, timing chip and identified bike are mandatory to enter and leave the transition area.
You will find a medical questionnaire on the back of your race number. For your own security you must complete the questionnaire. The medical staff is allowed to disqualify or to take an athlete out of the race in order to ensure his security. However, please note that you will not necessarily be taken out of the course or disqualified if the medical staff stops you during the race. The main medical area is located next to the arrival.
Helmets and bike equipment will be examined at the entry of the transition area.
Do not wait until the last minute to set up your bike. Athletes are asked to take the start with their equipment in perfect condition and technically safe.
Be prepared: a small toolset, a small pump or a CO² cartridge may be useful.
Mobile technical assistance on the race is foreseen.
You must have a triathlon licence in order to participate to the Brussels Triathlon or the Belman. A one-day-license can be bought on the spot.
Therefore you will have to:
- Fill in and sign the one-day-license subscription form
- Pay the amount due.
- Deliver a medical certificate and official stamp stating no restrictions to race with a validity of less than 1 year on race day.
At the race-day registration you will prepare and deliver the following documents:
- Proof of your registration
- A valid triathlon license
The Belman and Brussels Triathlon organization, its team members and staff will not be held responsible for accidents, theft and other damage. With his registration, the athlete accepts the non-responsibility clause of the organizer. Each athlete himself is responsible for the technical security of his gear and must make sure that his gear is compliant with the race regulations.
Neither the athlete nor his insurance will hold in any way the organizer or the road managers responsible in case of accident, even though the accident was caused by the bad condition of the road.
The athlete accepts the conditions of participation. He/she confirms that from a medical point of view there are no restrictions to race and that his/her health and training status are in compliant with the competition requirements. The athlete is aware of risks for health and other risks due to the competition and formally declares to participate on his own responsibility.
The organizer reserves its right to cancel, interrupt or withdraw the competition in case of tempest, storm, forest fire or other unpredictable and urgent needs. In case of force majeure, the participation fee will not be reimbursed. By registering, the participant waives his right of recourse. The participant also confirms having read the competition information on the organizer’s website.
By registering, the participant also accepts that the photos and videos of the competition may be released through the media and on the organizer’s website. The participant’s data will be saved and used in connection with the competition. His/her name will also be published on the organizer’s website (starting lists and results).
